Getting Started

01 · 5 QUESTIONS

What TrackCreatives is, how winner tracking works, and your first ten minutes.

The basics

01

What is TrackCreatives?

TrackCreatives is an ad intelligence platform. It continuously scans the public ad libraries of Meta, Google, and TikTok, tracks every ad it finds over time, and flags the ones that keep running for 30+ days as winners. You get the research index, AI analysis of any creative, a Chrome extension that captures ads while you browse, and automated tracking jobs for your competitors.

02

How does winner tracking actually work?

Advertisers kill ads that lose money, usually within days. Our tracker re-checks every ad on a schedule and records how long it stays in market. An ad still actively delivering 30 days after we first saw it has survived weeks of its own advertiser reviewing performance, which makes longevity the strongest public signal of a profitable creative. Our research across 17,900+ tracked ads shows only about 6.8% survive 30 days.

03

What should I do first after signing up?

Three things: add your top competitors so tracking jobs start building history on them, install the Chrome extension so you can capture ads while you browse, and open the Winners tab to study what already works in your niche. Most users find their first swipe-worthy ad within ten minutes.

04

Which platforms do you cover?

Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Search, YouTube, Display via the Ads Transparency Center), TikTok (Ad Library, Creative Center, and organic), X (Twitter), and Instagram Reels. Meta and Google are the deepest sources; the Chrome extension adds real-time capture across all of them.

05

Do I need to connect my own ad accounts?

No. Everything runs on public ad library data and the extension capture. We never ask for access to your ad accounts, pixels, or spend data.

Ad Tracking & Competitors

02 · 7 QUESTIONS

Tracking jobs, competitor monitoring, longevity data, and how fresh everything is.

Tracking jobs

01

What is a tracking job?

A tracking job is an automated scan tied to a competitor or search query. On the schedule you choose it re-scans the ad libraries, pulls in new ads, updates the last-seen date on existing ones, and recalculates winner status. Starter includes 2 jobs, Growth 8, and Scale 25.

02

How often do tracking jobs run?

You set the schedule per job. Higher plans support up to 4 scans per day per job. The winner flags and longevity numbers update as every scan completes, so the dashboard always reflects the latest pass.

03

How many competitors can I track?

Starter tracks 10 competitors, Growth 30, and Scale 100. A competitor is any advertiser page or domain you want continuous history on. You can swap competitors at any time.

04

What happens when a competitor launches a new ad?

The next scan picks it up automatically, stamps its first-seen date, and starts the longevity clock. From then on every scan updates it, and if it crosses 30 days of continuous delivery it lands in your Winners view.

The data

01

How fresh is the ad data?

Tracking jobs re-scan on your schedule, up to 4 times daily. The Chrome extension captures in real time as you browse. Manually searched ads are fetched live at the moment you search.

02

Why do some ads disappear from a competitor page?

The advertiser stopped running them. That is the signal working as intended: we keep the record with its final lifespan, so you can still study what they tried and how long it lasted, which is exactly the history the native ad libraries never show you.

03

What does the winner score mean?

It is a composite of longevity (the dominant factor), creative variations detected, and engagement signals where the platform exposes them. A high score means the market has voted for that ad with sustained spend.

Chrome Extension

03 · 6 QUESTIONS

Real-time capture from TikTok, Instagram, X, and the Meta Ad Library while you browse.

Capture

01

What does the Chrome extension capture?

TikTok (For You page, search, profiles, Ad Library, Creative Center, and Shop), Instagram Reels and profiles, X (Twitter) feeds and profiles, the Meta/Facebook Ad Library, and Google. Whatever you see while browsing, one click imports it into your dashboard with its metadata.

02

How do I install it?

Install TrackCreatives from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in once through the popup. It links to your account automatically and your plan limits apply immediately. It works in any Chromium browser including Brave, Arc, and Edge.

03

Where do captured ads go?

Into folders in your dashboard. You can create folders per niche, per client, or per campaign from the extension side panel at capture time, so research stays organized without a cleanup pass later.

04

Does the extension slow down my browsing?

No. It reads the data the page already loaded instead of firing extra requests, so there is no added network traffic while you scroll. Capture only happens when you click.

Limits

01

How many ads can I import per month?

Each plan includes monthly pools per platform: Starter has 100 Meta ads, 100 Google ads, and 100 TikTok transfers per month; Growth has 400, 400, and 500; Scale has 1,500, 1,500, and 2,000. Business scrapes are pooled separately. The extension shows your remaining pool live in its panel.

02

What happens if I hit an import limit mid-month?

You can keep browsing and researching; only new imports pause for that pool. Add a one-time booster pack (credits that never expire and top up only that pool) or upgrade your plan, which unlocks the higher limits immediately with the price difference prorated.

AI Analysis & Tools

04 · 5 QUESTIONS

Claude-powered ad breakdowns, deep video analysis, transcripts, and the copy tools.

Analysis

01

What does the AI analysis tell me about an ad?

Each analysis breaks down the hook strategy, the persuasion framework, the call to action and why it fits (or does not), audience targeting signals, and the visual hierarchy. It reads like a senior media buyer teardown, generated in seconds for any ad in your index.

02

What is a deep analysis?

Deep analysis is for video: we extract frames across the ad, analyze the visual storytelling shot by shot alongside the transcript, and map how the hook, pacing, and CTA work together. Growth includes 15 per month and Scale 60.

03

Can I get transcripts of video ads?

Yes. Video and YouTube transcripts are a metered pool on every plan (15 on Starter, 60 on Growth, 300 on Scale per month). Transcripts also power search inside spoken content, so you can find every competitor ad that mentions a phrase.

Copy tools

01

What are the AI content and research runs?

A pool of runs across the 20+ built-in tools: hook generators, ad copy writers, email copy, landing page teardowns, ICP builders, hashtag research, pricing research, and more. Starter includes 20 runs per month, Growth 60, and Scale 150.

02

Do the tools learn from the winners you track?

Yes. The generators are grounded in patterns from long-running ads, like the CTA survival data and headline length findings published on our research blog, so suggestions lean toward what the market keeps paying for rather than generic best practices.

Plans, Billing & Limits

05 · 8 QUESTIONS

What each tier includes, how pools reset, boosters, upgrades, and cancellation.

Plans

01

What plans are available?

Three tiers: Starter at $15/mo for creators and small teams, Growth at $39/mo for teams scaling creative (the most popular), and Scale at $99/mo for agencies managing multiple clients. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free. Every plan includes the Chrome extension and all 20+ dashboard tools.

02

Is there a free trial?

No free tier or trial. Plans start at $15/mo and you can cancel anytime with two clicks, keeping access through the end of the billing period. Finding a single winning ad typically pays for the month.

03

How do monthly limits work?

Each metered resource (ads kept per platform, TikTok transfers, AI runs, analyses, transcripts, downloads) has its own monthly pool that resets on your billing date. Standing limits like competitors, team seats, and tracking jobs are fixed per plan. Nothing is charged by usage; you can never get a surprise bill.

04

What are booster packs?

One-time credit purchases (from $3) that top up a specific pool when you run out mid-month. Credits stack on top of your plan, deplete only after your monthly pool is spent, and never expire.

Billing

01

How do upgrades and downgrades work?

Upgrades are instant: the higher limits unlock immediately and Stripe charges only the prorated difference for the rest of the period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current period, so you keep everything you paid for.

02

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, in Settings with two clicks. You keep full access until the end of the billing period and are never charged again. No calls, no retention forms.

03

Do you offer refunds?

If something went wrong with a charge, email [email protected] within 7 days and we will make it right. Include the email on your account so we can find the charge fast.

04

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Data & Research

06 · 4 QUESTIONS

The tracked index behind our published studies, and how to use or cite the numbers.

The research index

01

Where do your published statistics come from?

Every number in our research posts is computed from the TrackCreatives tracked index: 17,900+ ads with first-seen and last-seen timestamps collected by continuously scanning the public ad libraries. Each study documents its exact sample size and method, and we update the numbers as the index grows.

02

What are your headline findings so far?

The median paid ad survives just 9 days and only 6.8% cross 30 days. "Learn More" ads survive 30 days about 15 times more often than "Shop Now" ads. Static images make up 40% of ads but 59% of long-running winners. Headlines of 21 to 40 characters outlast 70+ character headlines by 36%. Full tables live on the blog.

03

Can I cite your studies?

Yes, please do. Cite them as "TrackCreatives [study name], 2026" with a link to the article. Journalists and creators are welcome to reuse the tables with attribution; if you need a custom cut of the data for a story, email [email protected].

04

Is longevity really a proxy for profitability?

It is the best public one. Advertisers pause losing ads quickly because every extra day costs money, so sustained delivery is revealed preference at market prices. It is not click-through data, and our methodology sections spell out that caveat wherever it matters.
